The course was very wet underfoot today after the recent rain and we had some light showers during play. It was hard work for most of us slogging out the 27 holes through mud and puddles.  My playing partner was Rosemary Cohen and our other players were Kath Payn & Marie Eddy and Annie Brink & Elly Van Den Berg.  We enjoyed the day even if the golf was not always good.  We did have some highlights and Rosemary & I won a ball.

The Golf Event of the day was the Ladies 2013 Foursomes Championships in two divisions.

We had 74 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Kath Payn had a gobbler putt in on the 6th; Lea Southon & Helen Stuart had one 1 putt hole; Rae Brown & Lauren Matterson were improved players from Sunday; Jan Fitzgerald is happy to be back playing; Vicki Foster & Rhonda Robertson parred the 12th and Vicki was happy to have a day off work; Leonie Casey hit a great shot through the "V" in the paperback tree on the 9th; Chris Dekker was in the water Hazard at the 11th and opted to hit out of the water & landed on the green ( the shot of the day I was told); Sheena Asken & Di Thomlinson had a birdie at the 5th; Wendy Stapleton & Helen Potter played with the winners; Rosemary Cohen & Jan Martin had some good chip shots to the hole, parred the 11th and the 8th and won a ball;
