F-Troop - Monday 8th April 2013

We only had a very small crew for F-Troop this morning - but a very effective one.  We managed to get through a large list of maintenence jobs.

We had Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Warren Gray, Peter Martin, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

Duncan, Geoff & Trevor did some good maintenence work today - repairing the broken fence at the putting green, replacing two old sump covers with solid base & meshing for our safety, replacing the garden edge boards at the wedding garden that were taken out when the large fallen tree had to be removed from the garden; made some temporary repairs to the bush toilets. Trevor then assisted Peter in planning and measurements for the garden arbor at the 14th tee; made repairs to a broken fence post at the 17th green; made repairs to the garden fence at the 18th and fixed a leaking water pipe in the garden at the 18th.

Warren & Peter did the all important rubbish pick up today.  I never cease to be amazed at how much is there to be picked up each week.

Anne worked on Camellia Way and the garden at the 18th as well as helping me at the 17th.

I worked at tidying the tees at the 3rd and the 5th; tidied up the wedding garden and watered the pots; planted out some plants at the 17th garden and did some weeding there; tidied up the 1st tee and watered the pots at the 1st and 9th; planted another tree at the new cart shed garden.

Morning tea of Banana Bread (with butter) still warm from the oven was very welcome.  Thank you Chef John!

The greens were under maintenance on holes one to nine so we were not able to have the tractor which meant our tree maintenence was on hold for this week.  The tree program will continue with the tree gang now working on the 17th fairway with the 18th fairway to go.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
