Golf - Sunday 17th February 2013

We had a lovely day for golf today - blue sky and sunshine and no rain!

Our golfing partners were Wally & Robyn Johnston and we had a good day on the village green saving our best highlight for last when Wally scored a par 4 pointer on the 18th.

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley Teams Event - 1 score to count + Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.

We had 77 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Duncan Dyer had 3/4 on the 16th plus two kisses; Clyde Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 15th and a gobbler on the 8th for a 2/3; Wally Johnston had a par at the 18th for a 4 pointer; Peter Martin had a birdie at the 2nd; Col Matterson had 2 birdies; Wally Robertson had a birdie at the 14th; Rhonda Robertson had a birdie 2/4 at the 8th and won nearest the pin; Robin Brann enjoyed her round of golf after a 6 month break; Robin Brann & Joyce Bosley beat the boys for the keno ticket; Neville Walker played a steady game with 3 pointer ant the 8th and 9th and at 16/17/18; Jan Walker had 1 gobbler 2/4 at the 14th.
