F-Troop - Monday 10th December 2012

If we thought the showers would hold off until after F-Troop we were disappointed.  Those of us that did turn up got thoroughly drenched.

We had Martin Gallagher, Geoff Bridge, Sam Knox, Warren Gray, Peter Martin, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

We did however achieve some good tasks in spite of the weather.

Martin, Sam, Warren, Geoff & Peter filled the morning in transporting firewood (donated by Peter Davidson and split by Sam Knox ) from North Gosford to our wood storage area to be held for next year's firewood sales. Many thanks to Peter Davidson for his donation of good quality firewood and to Sam Knox for his hard yards on the wood splitter.

Di and Anne took on the daunting task of cleaning out the side drain at the side car park.

My morning was spent planting out some begonias at the Ladies 3rd tee garden, picking up loose timber at the 2nd, 3rd & the 5th; cleaned up the garden and raked the tee at the 3rd, weeded & cleaned out the Tranquility Garden at the 6th.

We had an early morning tea as the showers had no intention of stopping and we were all wet enough.

We had croissants and Jam for morning tea which was a good reward - Thanks Chef John!

We have done some more design work for the 10th tee decorative balls so there is more work to happen there very shortly.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
