We have arrived safely in Phoenix Arizona and are staying at Scottsdale right next door to McCormacks Ranch Golf Course. (how convenient).
We visited the Pro Shop today for retail therapy (50% discount of course) and have arrangwed for a game of golf tomorrow morning. The temperature here today was 102 degrees F. We did our washing when we arrived, had a swim at the pool and the washing was bone dry when we got back. Whew! It is really hot in this part of the country. I believe that it will be cooler at the Canyons as they are higher up. I hope so. We spoke to some golfers who come here every year and they said that it is 15 degrees cooler this year than last year! As a golfing interest we saw a seven year old girl practicing today She is fantastic for her age and is on scratch for her age division and is the top of the state of Arizona. It was awesome watching her chip to the greenl The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.
We had 83 starters with 23 visitors from Bayview, Everglades, Howlong, Maclean, Magenta Shores, Mangrove Mountain, Palm Meadows, Pymble, Terrigal, Toukley, Trundle & Wyong.
