F-Troop - Monday 2nd July 2012

We had thirteen F-Troopers on hand this morning which helped us to achieve quite a lot of inroads to our projects.

We had Martin Gallagher, Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Garry Trigg, Richard Casey, Trevor Harrison, Peter Martin, Bruce White, Ken Donald, Shirley Donald, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin to share the load.

The tree gang of Duncan Dyer, Martin Gallagher, Garry Trigg and Bruce White managed to get a good work load of trees down including a dead black wattle at the 8th among others and helped me to trim the larger crepe myrtles.

Peter Martin, Trevor Harrison, Richard Casey, Ken Donald & Geoff Bridge worked on the new shed site.

Di Beechey & Anne Burgess painted the new pots at the 4th and trimmed the crepe myrtles at the second, planted out some of the donated plants into the existing gardens, planted out some of the novelty golf shoe gardens at the 2nd and cleaned up garden paths.

Shirley Donald did some good weeding of the gardens at the front of the club cleaning out two garbage tin full of weeds from the area.  I helped Shirley at the front gardens as well as settling in the new agavi plants and trimming some crepe myrtle trees, pruned the roses and tidied up around the putting green..

Morning tea of fresh fruit pastries was very much appreciated by the F-Troopers who had worked hard all morning.  Thank you Chef John!

We have managed to get some good garden projects completed thanks to some very generous donations from Members & friends of the Golf Club .  Today we received a cash donation of $100 from Margaret Mackie that was very much appreciated and will be well spent on our projects on hand.  Thank you Margaret!

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
