We had an excellent day for golf with the wet weather holding off until we had all finished. Earlier in the day it was very hot and humid but afternoon cloud cover made it very pleasant to be out on the course.
Our playing partners were Peter & Sandy Laybutt who were great company. We had a good fun day with a lot of close should have/could have & would have shots and still came in with a team score of a very respectable 90 points. Peter Martin was the star scoring 42 points and winning the singles event of the day.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + Team Stableford 1 X 2 X 3 - each team must have one lady.
We had 73 starters with 2 visitors from Taree and Terrigal.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Lynn Puiatti had 39 points & no wipes; Anne Forrester had 4/4 on the 9th; Tania Burt had two 4 pointers; Kevin O'Brien had a birdie at the 17th;
Dick Bosley had 4/4 on the 13th; Clyde Cruickshanks had birdies at the 12th, 15th and 18th holes; Julie Hazzard had a 4 pointer at the 15th; Lyn Cruickshanks had a 3 pointer on the 5th; Peter Martin had a nice 42 points in spite of a self inflicted handicap; Sandy Laybutt had 3 pointers at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th holes; my highlight was having the longest drive on the 9th ( after 3 putting the 8th) & then scoring a one putt 3 pointer to finish the match on the 9th.
Today was Louise Stimpson's birthday and we celebrated that in style (photos attached)
