F- Troop - Monday 16th April 2012

We had an extremely busy but productive day with the assistance of some of our club members.

The major project for the day was to dismantle a shed in Cary Street so that it can be transported to the Golf Club and be re-assembled as a second cart shed.  Through the generosity of Alan Graham of Alan Graham's
Caravans we have had the opportunity to acquire this shed which will be a great asset for the club.

We had twelve workers willing to give their time for this project today which took from 7.00am this morning until after noon.  On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Warren Gray, Rob Benson, Richard Casey, Peter Martin, George Foster, Ron Puiatti, Bruce White, John Shine, John Geercke, Dave Flanigan.

Our special thanks go to members Ron Puiatti, John Geercke, Dave Flanigan & John Shine who made their time available today to help the F-Troopers out as we had a lot of our normal F-Troop crew unavailable.

The shed was completely dismantled by lunchtime which was a great effort by the boys.

While the boys were busy with their project the girls made some inroads with some potted plants that required re-potting, tidied up the back car park, BBQ area, underneath the clubhouse, watered the gardens among other things.  Those on hand were Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Georgina Lamb and Jan Martin
The course was busy today with social players and the Ladies Pennants games so we restricted ourselves to projects that were close to the clubhouse.

Chef John prepared a morning tea of monster muffins which was transported to Cary street for the boys to keep them refreshed during their marathon project.

It was a rewarding day and we will reap the benefits when the shed is re-assembled and in use as a cart shed.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
