Golf - Tuesday 6th March 2012

We had a perfect day for golf today - blue sky, sunshine and a nice breeze to keep the temperature pleasant.
My playing partners were Kay Adams & Robyn Johnston & we had a very pleasant day on the course and brought home the winner with Kay scoring a lovely steady 38 points.  It was a day to stay on the fairway as the rough was very long and there are still wet patches to get caught up in.  Some of the bunkers were still out of play.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford + Vets in conjunction.

We had 76 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Di Thomlinson had a birdie on the 15th; Leanne Binns had two 4 pointers; Rhonda Robertson took a free drop from the bunker at the 15th and produced a gobbler birdie; Norma Cubis had a gobbler at the 8th; Jan Walker had a gobbler birdie at the 8th; Margaret Pratt played a nice steady game; Debbie Fleeton had some great fairway shots and played her 3rd game at Gosford today; Helen Stuart had 5/3 at the 1st; Sue Hutton played a nice steady game; Lesley Gregory parred 3 of the 4 par 3's; Robyn Johnston & my highlight was bringing home Kay Adams with her winning score today.
