Golf - Tuesday 13th March 2013 - St Patrick's Day






















We had wonderful weather for our St Patrick's Day Event where everyone is encouraged to wear something green or "Irish" to add some atmosphere to the day.

My playing partner was Rhonda Robertson and our four included Di Thomlinson and Leanne Binns.  We had a fun day enjoying some good highlights along the way and some brief moments of brilliance.

The Golf Event of the Day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Irish Multiplier.

We had 75 starters.

RESULTS:

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Leanne Binns had 4 pointers on the 13th and the 17th; Di Thomlinson had four 3 pointers on the back 9; Annette Dunk parred the 4th and the 11th; Claire Hastings and Annette Dunk got a 9 pointer; Pam Witt had a birdie on the 8th; Robyn Johnston had a birdie on the 14th; Fay Bailey had 6 pars and a birdie; Berrie Hanley had 20 points on the front 9; Felicity Mead had a great putt into the hole on the 1st; Elizabeth McNamara had a gobbler on the 8th; Michelle McGrath hit two sandy shots in a row out of the bunker and into the hole at the 16th & 17th for pars; Doon Jansen parred the 7th 4/4 and Yvonne Wilson had 5/3; my highlight was a birdie on the 14th and winning nearest the pin..

Farewell wishes to Krystal Day and a presentation gift from the Ladies in appreciation of Krystal's work towards our functions in the club.  Krystal is leaving to pursue her own confectionery business   All the best with your new Business Venture Krystal.
