Today was Round 3 of the MIXED TEAM SERIES - SPONSORED BY: MAZDA
Mazda is a new Club Sponsor for this Event and their support is much appreciated.
This Event is well supported by the Members and is one of our most popular events.
The weather was kind, allowing us to get our matches played with just a few showers and some threatening thunder storms which did not eventuate into anything.
Our playing partners were Mark Stimpson & Michelle McGrath - our Team for the Mixed Team Series.
We had a great day with Mark scoring three birdies and Michelle scoring four birdies along with a lot of great golf shots to admire. We left our run a bit late but came in with a respectable total of 306 for the series with no help from me.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Michelle McGrath had birdies at the 9th,11th, 12th, & 15th; Mark Stimpson had birdies at the 1st, 5th & the 11th; Rosalie Dyer had 22 points on the back 9 (with a wipe) a 4 pointer at the 17th and four 3 pointers; Lauren Matterson had a 3/4 on the 14th; Col Matterson won nearest the pin on the 14th; Col Adams had a birdie on the 14th; Wendy Stapleton had a birdie on the 15th; John Homer had 43 points with 5 birdies - one on the front and four on the back 9; Brent Frewin had birdies at the 2nd and the 17th; Helen Stuart enjoyed good company; Blue Hancock had birdies on 1st, 8th and the 10th; Warren Gray had two birdies including a gobbler birdie and a 4 pointer on the 17th; John & Julie Hazzard both had 3/3 on the 8th; Michael Bowditch had a eagle on the 16th and birdied the 5th.10th,15th & the 18th; Steve Thomlinson had 4 birdies; Duncan Brown had birdies at the 5th, 15th and the 18th; Robin Incoll's highlight was finding her blue towel that was lost on the 16th - rescued by Duncan Brown after a stressful run back to find it; Clyde Cruichshanks had birdies on the 11th, 12th & 18th; Kerry Cubis had birdies on the 4th, 8th & 10th; Lyn Cruickshanks had five 3 pointers in a row at the 2/3/4/5/6 and the 10th including a gobbler; Norma Cubis parred the 10th; Nigel Asken had 20 points on the front 9 and had a birdie on the 15th; Keith Bourne had 2 birdies; Susan Bourne played nice steady golf; Di Beechey had 3 pointers at the 5,6,7 and had a chip in on the 5th; Kay Frewin had 40 points and a birdie on the 5th winning nearest the pin; my highlight was watching my team play well and getting some 3 pointers in moments of need.
