Our very popular Sunday Mixed Golf Day was a washout today with some very heavy rain, continuous showers in the afternoon and even some thunder and lightning. The course was not closed and some of our social golfers managed to get in 9 holes in the early morning. It was not surprising that there were no starters in the daily competition. The course is very wet with more showers predicted.
The Gosford Golfers on Tour at the Gold Coast have managed to get in some golf. Some played at Ballina yesterday through showers. The first official day of the tour was played at Royal Pines and the winner on the day was Jeff Nash. From all accounts the tour is going well with everyone having a good time.
