Golf - Thursday 12th May 2011

As many of you are aware our F-Troopers put in many hours of voluntary time in addition to the traditional Monday mornings which is necessary to keep up with the maintenance that is required to keep our clubhouse area & course in clean and good condition.

The BBQ area & under the clubhouse is one such area that we try to keep in good order. All the lady members of F-Troop put in many hours repeatedly tidying the area so you can imagine my disappointment to turn up today to find that the water feature at the BBQ area had been vandalised. The electricity line had been cut & the pump stolen. F-Troopers Anne Burgess & Di Beechey look after this area & keep it in pristine condition so I am as much disappointed for them as I am for the club. In addition to this I went to use the hose to clean down the area & found that every hose had been cut from the taps including the permanent garden watering system & all of the tap fittings stolen as well as parts of the hose. Maintenance costs for the club

are high enough without contributions from the light-handed air heads. As hard as it is to believe all of the F-Troopers have to carry a $1.20 tap fitting in their pocket because we have so many stolen from the taps.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Par - Over the Field and we had 22 starters.
