Golf - Friday 5th November 2010

We have had constant showers overnight and for most of the day which was enough to put off all the golfers so I have no competition results to give you as there was no competition.

The showers did hold off just long enough for us golfing ladies to say our farewell to Sue Suters at the 18th green at 5.00pm as planned. We gathered at the 18th green at the appointed time and took up positions around the green. On the count of three from Maggie we all putted to get closest to Sue's golf bag that was in the centre of the green. We had one practice go & then got it better the second time with encouragement from the crowd on the club balcony.

Sue's very close friend Cheryl Davison drove a ball from the 10th tee into the dam in Sue's memory (and got in first try) so the 10th dam now holds Sue's last golf ball.

Rest in peace Sue.
My thanks to Krystal Day for her contribution of photos from the balcony.
