A new orchid garden materialized at the 1st tee this morning with the help & expertise of Fred Middleton. Fred is going to be the F-Trooper to adopt this garden & is going to give it all the TLC it needs to produce a beautiful display of orchids next year if all goes well & the garden is treated with respect by the players. (Vandals & theft are a concern but we are being positive about that).
This garden was produced at no cost to the club. The garden structure was completed by F-Troop, the orchid compost was paid for by F-Troop firewood sales, the orchids were donated by Kathy Small & the time & TLC were free of charge from F-Troop. We hope all the Members will love & appreciate this garden when it is in full bloom. Many thanks to Fred Middleton who's expert work today was especially appreciated by me.
The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford.
We had 42 starters with visitors from Everglades and Perth.
