Golf - Thursday 14th October 2010 - Results of the Pro Am

THE 2010 PRO-AM PROUDLY SPONSORED BY "SCHWEPPES" AND CENTRAL COAST MOTOR GROUP.

The 2010 Gosford Golf Club Pro-Am was a resounding success with 152 players with 60 Professionals participating on the day which was played in beautiful blue skies and sunshine.

The woeful weather predictions did not arrive and the day was perfect. Given the very brief amount of time that was available to put this day together (mere weeks) credit must be given to our Director of Golf Scott Cubis and his support crew for making this such a successful day. I heard many compliments on the state of the course so credit to our greens staff for all their hard work in getting the course prepared to this state.

We can only now look forward to the 2011 Pro Am to be bigger and better given we now have 12 months available for planning.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY: I did not gather any highlights today but I did hear that Leanne Binns hit a beautiful drive off the 9th tee, followed that up with a great second shot onto the green that rolled around and rested back near the pin & then Leanne sank the putt for 3/5. Not too bad for an amateur. Well done Leanne!
