Winter is still here as the cold, blustery winds reminded us today. We had plenty of sunshine & there was some good run on the course so not all was lost.
My playing partners were Felicity Mead & Margaret Nichols & we had a good day out on the village green. We would have made a good team effort today as we each had our moments at various holes & would have combined well for a good score.
The Event of the day was a Single Stableford Over the Field and we had 30 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Sandy Laybutt had at birdie 3/5 on the 9th;Michele Kennett had a Birdie 3/5 at the 15th, a 4 pointer at the 17th, parred the 12th and the 14th & had 25 points on the back 9 with one wipe; Di Beechey had 4/4 on the 13th; Dawn Tromp had 4/4 on the 17th; Sharon Anderson parred the 1st and the 16th; Wendy Stapleton had a birdie on the 15th; Robyn Johnston had a birdie at the 6th; Anne Burke had 24 points on the front 9 including 4/4 on the 7th and also parred all of the par 3 holes; Sue Scobie had birdies at the 5th & 8th; Merran Adams had a 3 pointer at the 1st and a 4 pointer at the 2nd; Jan Fitzgerald & I both shared with having one good 1/2 match each.
Another highlight celebrated today was Dawn Tromp's birthday. Happy Birthday Dawn !

Spring flowers are starting to bloom & don't forget next Tuesday will be our special "SPRING" florel theme & it will be a fun day - playing holes 1 to 9 twice due to course maintenance.
