We were blessed with the weather again today with the rain holding off and even giving us some blue skies and sunshine which was very welcome after overnight rain. The course was wet underfoot but not too bad. As you can see by some of our good scores that came in today the damp course did not worry some of us.
My playing partners today were Rosalie Dyer and Yvonne Wilson & we had a lovely day of mixed fortunes. Rosalie was our star player getting some nice putts in & we all had some good highlights along the way.
The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stroke - WGNSW & Club Medal and we had 78 starters.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Sharon Anderson had 4 pars; Wendy Stapleton had a nice round scoring 41 strokes on the front 9; Sheena Asken enjoyed one of her better games; Carol Farrell putted beautifully for her 72 nett, having no 3 putts and 6 or so 1 putts; Sue Hutton had a birdie gobbler at the 13th; Fay Bailey had a birdie at the 15th and 3 pars; Susan Bourne had 14 putts on the front 9; my highlight was getting my drive on the green on the 8th hole for a par and a par at the 5th.
Some other highlights today we had a visit from a couple of our previous lady golfers.
It was good to see Sandra Coyle call in for a chat - Sandra is currently 'resting' from golf.
Another visitor that was wonderful to see at the club was Val Pucher. Photo attached of Val taken today with Rosalie Dyer & Rosemary Cohen. Val is 94 & continued to play golf into her early 90's and she has been an inspiration to all of our lady players over the years.
