There was a lot of action at the course today with some nice sunshine and wind to dry out the course and allow dry weather jobs to be done.
The sealing of the pathway from the back carpark could be continued today now that the area had dried out a bit. That will look and feel a lot better now.
Another good job done was the planting of the Lomandra grasses at the 15th bunker. Many thanks to Georgina Lamb, Geoff Bridge, Martin Gallagher & Peter Martin who lent a hand to plant in the grasses early this morning. The job was completed quickly thanks to many hands making light work & the greens staff did their bit by preparing the soil and digging the holes for planting. A good team effort. Later there will be turf laid down behind the grasses which will complete that area & make it very attractive to the eye & 100% improvement from the bald clay hill that washed out the bunker each time we had rain.
The Golfing Event of the day was a Ladies Single Par - Over the Field and we had 31 starters.
