We were saved from severe heat today with some early morning cloud cover & some nice breezes. My playing partners were Mary Ellis & Judy Mulheron who were great company & Mary came in as one of the prize winners so that was a good highlight. No photo of us today as I accidently deleted it from my camera when removing old photos. Sorry Mary & Judy!
The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Par - Over the Field Summer Competition and we had 42 starters.

3RD: Margaret Nichols - Square on a countback
4TH: Mary Ellis - Square on a countback

AWCR LADIES: 73 (square)
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Leonie Casey found some air in the right hand tree on the 9th fairway - placing her ball perfectly through the "V" to reach a good spot in front of the furthest tree; Jan Fitzgerald played a nice steady game to get her Plus 2 score; Rhonda Robertson had 2 pars on the back 9 and got a birdie at the 8th; my highlight was scoring my one and only plus at the 17th.
